Swarv Privacy Policy

Swarv is an app that helps jewellery shops price items from the day's gold and silver rates. It is made by Paprik Technologies ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to shop owners and staff who use Swarv.
Swarv does not ask for or store your customers' names, phone numbers or any other customer details.

The camera
Swarv uses the camera only while you are scanning a scale or reading a shop's join code. It reads the scale's display on the phone and keeps one photo of the display area for each estimate. It does not record video or sound, and it does not open your photo gallery. When you add a logo or a photo, you pick it yourself in your phone's photo picker, and only that picture is used.
How we use information
- To run the app: sign-in, pricing, keeping estimates and rates, and sharing them within your shop.
- To read the scale's display. When the phone cannot read the display by itself, it sends the photo of the display to an AI service that returns the number shown. Only the photo is sent: no names, email addresses or shop details go with it.
- To improve how accurately Swarv reads scales, we may review scan photos and reading records.
- To keep the service working and fair, for example daily limits on AI readings.
- To contact shop owners about their account, including the free trial and pricing.
We do not sell information, show ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers to run Swarv. Each one handles information only to provide its service to us.
- Supabase stores the app's data and photos and handles sign-in. Data is stored in Stockholm, Sweden.
- OpenRouter and Anthropic read the number on the scale photo when the phone cannot read it by itself.
- Google provides Google sign-in and distributes the app through Google Play. The app's join-code reader uses Google ML Kit, which may send Google basic information about the device and how the reader performed.
Within a shop, the owner can see all of the shop's estimates and the people who have joined. Staff see the shop's rates and catalog and their own estimates. When you share an estimate as a picture, you choose where it goes.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Security
Information travels over encrypted connections. Each shop's data can be reached only by that shop's own signed-in phones. Photos are kept in private storage, not on public links.
How long we keep it
We keep a shop's information while its account is active. If the owner asks us to delete the account, we delete the shop's information, including estimates, rates, items and photos, within 30 days. When an owner removes a staff phone, that phone loses access straight away, and the estimates it made stay in the shop's record.
Your choices and rights
- You can see and change your shop's details, rates and items in the app.
- The owner can remove a staff phone at any time, and staff can sign out.
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account and all its data. See how to delete your account.
- Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can also nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance with us using the contact below.
Children
Swarv is meant for people running or working in a shop, and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change matters, we will also tell shop owners in the app.
